Registration:
Register only available at the competition site – Rum River BMX. Pre-

From the south (Blaine area) – Take Highway 65 north, take left at stop light in Isanti (Country Road 5) follow to first right – Dual Blvd and go right. Follow to second stop sign and take a left (this is Isanti Parkway). BMX facility is two blocks up across the tracks on left side.
From North – Follow Highway 65 south – take right at stop light in Isanti (Country Road 5) follow to first right – Dual Blvd and go right. Follow to second stop sign and take a left (this is Isanti Parkway). BMX facility is two blocks up across the tracks on left side.
From Twin Cities Metro – Go north on 35E take the North Branch exit (Highway 95) take a left (west) go to County Road 12 and take a left. This road will turn into County Road 5 in Isanti. It is approximately 13 miles. Go straight at the stop light in Isanti follow to first right – Dual Blvd and go right. Follow to second stop sign and take a left (this is Isanti Parkway). BMX facility is two blocks up across the tracks on left side.
From West – Follow Highway 95 East towards Cambridge. Approximately four miles past Highway 47 you will take a right on County Road 10. At the second stop sign take a left (east) on County Road 5. Take a left at the first gas station on Highway 23 (this is the same as Whiskey Road). Take a right on to Isanti Parkway. Follow and go straight at stop sign. BMX facility is on right side of road.
Eligibility and Sanctioning:
Open to all Minnesota residents. This is an ABA-

Individual Division:
Note it take at least three riders of a given age and skill level to develop a complete class – if there are not at least three in each class we will follow the move up procedures outlined in the official ABA rule book. Consult the rule book for proper class placement – or contact the sport director.
Team Division:
A team may consist of a minimum of four riders up to a maximum of 15 riders. Each team must have at least one Novice or Intermediate skill level rider on its roster. Placing in the individual race is used to compile each team’s score.

Entry fee:
$10 per class for individual events. Riders may enter the team competition at no additional cost, but all team riders must have registered for an individual event.
Awards:
Star of the North Games medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each individual and team division. Trophies also awarded to the top five teams in the team competition. Awards to all riders in the main event – other awards pending sponsorships.
Medal winners at the 2008 Star of the North Games will earn an invitation to the 2009 State Games of America National Championships in Colorado Springs. BMX Cycling will be a new event at the 2009 State Games of America.
